BIT-EPF-104 Projection Fusion System | Immersive Showroom Case Study

By Bitvisus | September 16, 2026 |

Project Overview

A premium immersive experience center in New Delhi set out to build a showroom centerpiece: a sweeping 54-foot-wide by 9-foot-tall (approx. 16.5 m × 2.7 m) projection surface wrapped into a horseshoe / U-shape. The goal was total immersion — visitors standing inside the curve would see a single, uninterrupted panorama with no visible seams, no brightness jumps, and no distortion at the bends.

To achieve that, the venue deployed four projectors around the curve and unified them with a single BIT-EPF-104 embedded edge-blending processor. One source in, four perfectly blended outputs out — no PC, no operating system, no operator required.

The Challenge

Delivering a flawless image on a curved, multi-projector surface is far more complex than a flat wall. The project faced four core challenges:
·Complex curved geometry — a horseshoe screen means each projector faces the surface at a different angle, so flat images would warp and misalign on the curve.
·Seamless blending across four beams — four overlapping projectors must merge into one continuous picture, with matched brightness, color, and invisible blend zones.
·24/7 unattended operation — a public showroom cannot afford a PC crash, a boot delay, or a daily restart; the system must simply stay on.
·Clean, compact install — the AV rack had limited space and needed a silent, fanless device that would not add heat or noise to the visitor environment.

The Solution

The BIT-EPF-104 is an embedded projection fusion processor built on a 1-input, 4-output architecture. It takes a single video source and handles every step needed to turn four separate beams into one curved, seamless image:
·Per-output geometric correction — each projector's image is individually warped to sit correctly on its section of the horseshoe.
·Multi-projector edge blending — overlap zones are blended so seams disappear and brightness stays uniform across the full 54 ft width.
·Color & black-level matching — projectors are balanced for consistent tone from one end of the curve to the other.
·Embedded, fanless design — no OS, no moving parts, engineered for continuous 24/7 showroom duty.
·Professional inputs (HDMI / SDI / DP) — drops straight into media servers and live signal sources.

The Result

·Seamless 54×9 ft canvas — four projectors merged into a single, distortion-free panorama that wraps the horseshoe with invisible blend zones.
·True 24/7 reliability — the fanless embedded processor runs unattended, with no OS, no crashes, and no daily restart for the showroom team to manage.
·Simplified signal chain — a single BIT-EPF-104 replaced what would otherwise be a PC, multiple GPUs, and blending software, reducing points of failure.
·Premium visitor impact — the kind of high-end, immersive first impression the venue wanted: smooth, bright, and completely seamless.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the BIT-EPF-104 and what does it do?

A: The BIT-EPF-104 is an embedded projection edge-blending and fusion processor with a 1-input, 4-output architecture. It takes a single video source and distributes, warps, and edge-blends it across up to four projectors to create one seamless, geometrically corrected image on curved or irregular screens.

Q: Why use an embedded processor for a showroom instead of a PC-based solution?

A: Embedded processors like the BIT-EPF-104 are fanless, compact, and built for 24/7 unattended operation. In a public showroom they eliminate OS crashes, boot delays, and maintenance downtime — the display simply stays on, day after day, with no operator intervention.

Q: Can the BIT-EPF-104 handle curved or horseshoe-shaped screens?

A: Yes. The BIT-EPF-104 performs per-output geometric correction and multi-projector edge blending, which is exactly what a curved or U-shaped (horseshoe) screen requires. Each projector's image is individually warped and the seams are blended so the content flows continuously around the curve.

Q: How many projectors can one BIT-EPF-104 drive?

A: A single BIT-EPF-104 drives up to four projectors (1-in-4-out). For larger immersive spaces with more projectors, multiple units can be deployed, or a higher-density model from the BIT-EPF series can be specified.

Q: What video inputs does the BIT-EPF-104 support?

A: The BIT-EPF-104 accepts mainstream professional sources including HDMI and SDI/DP inputs, making it compatible with media servers, players, and live signal sources commonly used in showroom and Pro AV installations.
