What is 8K, how to build 8K video wall？
With the continuous development of video technology, the resolution has evolved from 480P to 1080P, and while we haven't fully realized that 4K TVs will rule the market, the live streaming of 8K has already started.
What are all the benefits of 8K? First of all, literally, 8K means a resolution of at least 7680*4320 pixels, which means that in the same frame, the resolution of 8K video can reach 4 times that of 4K, or 16 times that of 1080P, which naturally means more clarity and more details in the picture.

Secondly, the 8K standard does not only improve clarity, it also provides for higher image color depth (from 10bit, 1.07 billion colors, up to 12bit, 68 billion colors) and higher image brightness (up to 10,000nit)
You know, the reason why humans feel "not real enough" when watching video, one of the big reason is that the traditional video standards in color, especially brightness and contrast, compared to the real natural landscape gap is too big. At this point, the human brain will automatically make the "unreal" judgment. The 8K standard will improve the color and brightness by several times, or even dozens of times, which will directly bring about an increase in the "realism" of the picture.
Although 8K has many benefits, it is easy to trace the history of the 8K standard, which began to be developed in 1995. By 2007, the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) had identified "7680*4320 progressive display" as the standard for "8K" resolution. And as early as 2012, that is, 10 years ago, this standard has been approved by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and as an international television standard recommendations.
So the question is, why a technical standard has been settled in 2012, until today but still not popular?
There are many reasons for this. On the one hand, the 8K standard was mainly developed and promoted by TV and film organizations in the early days, and the "technical route" was on the side of professional broadcasting, which led to a serious lag in the development of some of its civil technology solutions (such as small 8K TV panels, such as DP or HDMI cables supporting 8K transmission). In fact, it was only in 2017 and 2018 that the industry finally emerged with relatively small, non-splicing dependent 8K civil TV panels, and consumers were finally able to buy DP or HDMI cables that support 8K data transmission.
Therefore, our common indoor display solutions usually do not use the whole screen 8K display, is because 8K equipment is expensive, while 8K video requirements need to process the amount of data per frame about 33M, plus the current large screen splicing wall field, from video capture to video transmission and processing of various aspects, the massive amount of data processing for the current video processing system brings a very big challenge.
