The aim of this project was to create an immersive and engaging visual experience on the surface of a building using projection mapping technology. Through the use of specialized equipment and software, we will be able to project high-resolution images and videos onto the building's surface, creating the illusion of three-dimensional objects and scenes. By carefully aligning the projections with the building's unique architecture and design, we will be able to create captivating experiences that seamlessly blend the digital and physical worlds. This project will showcase the incredible potential of 3D projection mapping as a medium for artistic expression and storytelling, and will provide audiences with a truly unique and unforgettable experience. In the following sections, we will outline the steps involved in building a 3D projection mapping system, from choosing the appropriate equipment to calibrating and testing the final product.
This solution uses a PC as the input source and uses projection mapping software for edge blending and HD source processing and projection, using our BIT-MSE-4K60-104Pro 4K HD video wall controller to connect multiple projections to a single PC so that only one PC with a graphics card can be used as the input source. Device requirements: one PC with GTX3050 graphics card, two BIT-MSE-4K60-104Pro. For the extended graphics card interface, each device connects three projectors so that the projection of the three projectors are combined into one image, each group of projectors can reach a maximum resolution of 3x1920x1200 i.e. 5760x1200 The total resolution can reach a maximum of 6x1920x1200 i.e. 11520x1200 Since the projectors are far away from the PC, about 120M distance, we need to connect each projector to an HDMI extender BIT-EX-HDBT-150-KVM.
